The crisp winter air didn’t take the fun away from the Gibson family session!
This session had everything I love to photograph: happiness, coziness, golden hour, and SO much fun. From the moment we started, the Gibsons were all in—laughing, playing, and just genuinely enjoying their time together. That’s what makes sessions like this so meaningful.
We explored the beautiful Virginia Museum of Fine Arts (VMFA), a spot I always love returning to as a Richmond, Virginia photographer. The museum grounds are stunning year-round, and on this day, they gave us the most breathtaking backdrop. Every corner of the VMFA has something unique to offer. But, of course, the highlight was the joy and connection between the Gibsons.
We played hide and seek (and let’s be honest, the kids totally won), shared endless laughs, and even uncovered a surprising story—Margarette once lived in Brazil and speaks Portuguese! Such a small world! I love moments like these, where sessions turn into genuine experiences filled with discovery.
The Gibsons were an absolute joy to capture, and their love and warmth shine through every photo. Baby girl, in particular, completely stole the show! Whether she was being cuddled by mom and dad, giggling in the arms of her big siblings, or flashing the most heart-melting smiles, every moment with her was magic.
Sessions like this remind me why I love what I do. As a Richmond, Virginia photographer, my goal is always to capture the emotions, the connections, and the in-between moments that make your family’s story uniquely yours. Whether it’s a golden-hour session at the VMFA, a cozy in-home shoot, or a fun adventure at one of Richmond’s beautiful parks, I want your session to feel effortless, joyful, and 100% YOU.
Gibson family, thank you for letting me freeze these moments in time. Your love, energy, and kindness made this session an absolute dream, and I hope these photos bring you just as much happiness as the day itself did.
