Every year, I get to witness and capture some of the most genuine, heartwarming moments between couples as a Virginia wedding photographer. And this Valentine's Day, I had the privilege of photographing Abby & Landon's engagement session—one that was extra special because they were the sweet couple who won our Valentine's Day giveaway!
We met at Libby Hill Park in downtown Richmond, a location that never disappoints, especially when the golden hour hits just right. The warm, glowing sunlight paired perfectly with Abby & Landon's natural connection. From the moment we started, their easy-going nature and undeniable love made every photo feel effortlessly authentic.
What stood out the most about this engagement session was the way Abby & Landon interacted with each other. Their laughter came easily, their smiles were genuine, and the way Abby looked at Landon was like something so, so special!
Libby Hill Park is one of my favorite spots for engagement sessions as a Richmond Wedding Photographer, and this session reminded me why. We got there around 5 p.m., and as the sun began to set, the golden hour light created a dreamy, romantic backdrop for Abby & Landon's photos. With the city skyline in the background and the warm hues of sunset surrounding us, we captured moments that felt timeless.
They mentioned these photos are the ones they will display at the wedding and to give to their loved ones. It melted my heart!
