About The Estate at River Run, a Virginia Wedding Venue
The Estate at River Run boasts a rich history and stunning architecture that provides an elegant backdrop for weddings. While touring the estate, I felt like every room had its own personality that blended perfectly with the whole concept of the venue. The marble foyer features outstanding details that will wow your guests as soon as they walk in.
The upstairs suites add a variety of colors, themes, and natural lighting options—perfect if you love natural light as much as I do! My favorite indoor space is by far the Wedgewood Ballroom, which features a handmade spiral staircase, an ornate ceiling, and a rich palette of "river" blues paired with neutral accents, creating a stunning visual contrast.
Once you step outside, you experience countless outdoor spaces designated for ceremony, cocktail hour, and even reception. The Bluestone Terrace is couples' favorite for ceremonies facing the river—and my favorite too!

Full-Property Wedding Rentals: This package includes access to all venue spaces, attentive staff, on-site overnight accommodations, and partnerships with top wedding vendors. It ensures a seamless and luxurious wedding experience.
Intimately-Sized Weddings: Designed for up to 80 guests, this package is available Monday-Thursday and select Fridays and Sundays. It's perfect for couples looking for a more intimate celebration while still enjoying the grandeur of the estate.
Getting Ready Spaces: The estate offers luxurious spaces for the bridal party to prepare, including the Primary Suite, additional bedrooms, a private apartment, the Pool House, and the Woodhaven Billiard Room.
Ceremony and Reception Locations: From the Bluestone and Brick Terraces to the Oak Grove Arbor and Wedgewood Ballroom, the estate provides a variety of beautiful settings for your ceremony. Cocktail hours can be enjoyed with stunning views and elegant poolside settings, while dinners and dancing can be hosted in the Wedgewood, Cameo, or Tuscan ballrooms, depending on the headcount.
Additional Services: The estate offers bespoke services to enhance your wedding experience, including white-glove service, exceptional hospitality, and a special Vendor Concierge service to ensure every detail is perfect.
My favorite aspect of this venue is that there are SO many different locations that you can utilize - it was honestly hard to narrow down where we wanted to do everything. We ended up utilizing as much of the property as possible (even with torrential downpours all day long) and I wouldn't change a thing. (. . .) The Estate at River Run was the absolute best choice for us (and it made for the most amazing photos). I wouldn't change a thing and that's due to the amazing team and the most beautiful location.
